Abstract

This article reconstructs the creation and functionality of the hygienic dissemination project, organized by the Yucatan authorities between 1915 and 1930, and ponders on whether hygienic education and propaganda became important for revolutionary authorities in their quest to safeguard the state’s citizens’ health. This paper also describes the transformation process of health institutions that led to the creation of organizations such as health delegations in various areas of Yucatán.
