The socioenvironmental crisis increases the probability that zoonotic diseases emerge, such as that caused by the sars-cov-2 virus in 2020. Preventive measures applied due to the emergency of the covid-19 pandemic, caused stress, anxiety, and depression in the population, therefore, the objective of this research was to analyze the psychological restoration as from the family orchard in Jojutla, Morelos. By means of the application of questionnaires, participant observation, systematic tours, and interviews, thirty families with and without a garden were studied. Owing to the context of the health emergency, both groups suffered mental disorders; however, people with family orchard got better their situation, inasmuch as this place influenced in their distraction, relaxation and reflection. While the group without family orchard, kept the problematic by not having a space for alleviation. We conclude that this agroecosystem has a positive impact on mental health because of the mood it generates.
