OCHOA TORRES,, María del Pilar; MUNOS HERNANDEZ,, José Alberto  y  FREYERMUTH ENCISO,, Graciela. Mortality and Environmental Vulnerability in the Watershed and Riverside Municipalities around the Usumacinta River of the triennium 2014-2016. Rev. pueblos front. digit. [online]. 2020, vol.15, e429.  Epub 05-Jun-2020. ISSN 1870-4115.  https://doi.org/10.22201/cimsur.18704115e.2020.v15.429.

This article seeks to analyze the relationship between environmental vulnerability and mortality associated to environmental conditions in the population of municipalities in the states of Campeche, Chiapas and Tabasco, which are part of the Usumacinta River basin. We used a spatial correlation model that allowed us to observe the relationship between the index of environmental vulnerability and the mortality rate associated to environmental conditions in 2016. The relation of these two variables lets us recognize the effects of climate change on health (SSA/INEGI). We identified a cluster of municipalities with a high record of mortality causes that are correlated with a high environmentally vulnerable population.

Palabras llave : environmental conditions; illnesses; geographic vicinity; spatial autocorrelation; cluster.
