Abstract

SANDOVAL GODOY, Sergio A.. Hibridación social: un modelo conceptual para el análisis de la región y el territorio. Región y sociedad [online]. 2003, vol.15, n.28, pp.47-80. ISSN 2448-4849.

Hybridation is a complex and multiform phenomenon that has been associated with some social transformations in recent decades. Attempts to establish a concept of this phenomenon has been a main concern in the 1990s. Even with the advances on this subject, we do not have a sufficiently validated concept which can be applied to all those social change’s manifestations produced by the unity- diversity, inclusion- exclusion, integration- disintegration and homogeneity- heterogeneity processes taking place in global society. In order to attain this purpose, this paper includes some previous elaborations used by anthropology, economics and industrial sociology.

Keywords : social hybridation; social change; global society and local society; homogeneity and heterogeneity process.
