Abstract

This paper introduces the problematic and new concept of glocalization to the colombian conflict analysis from the case study of the war situation in the amazonic colombian-ecuadorian border. The hypothesis to be tested is that it has been possible the configuration of a glocal scenario of armed confrontation which is clearly stated in: 1) The relationship between the armed conflict and the glocal configuration that is developed around the socioeconomics of coca and oil in the border area, 2) The exploitation of transnational drug trafficking economy by the actors involved in the conflict, and 3) The military and humanitarian impact of the global security policies as a transforming agent of the conflict at a local level.
