The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the concept "cosmopolitanism", its current context, the evolution of its implication and the different meanings created debates. Starting with the taxonomy of Kleingeld, our theoretical contribution includes a classification of the cosmopolitanism today. The paper consists of two sections, the first dealing with the development of the concept and the second related to the different meanings that founded in the study of cosmopolitanism.
