Abstract

TORRES STOCKL, Cynthia María  and  ARUE, Raúl Luis. The world of Politics and its concept according university activists in Tucuman, Argentina. Polis [online]. 2013, vol.9, n.1, pp.109-137. ISSN 2594-0686.

This approach is developed within a Doctoral scholarship granted by the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (Conicet) and reports the progress made in project CIUNT "Identity, practices and representations: Youth against changes in their surroundings". From these institutional spheres we try to investigate the social representations that students of the Faculty of Psychology and Philosophy at the National University of Tucuman have about "Political Leaders". Considering the social representations theory deepened by Mos-covici in this opportunity we intended access to elements and dynamic of representational phenomenon. Aided with characterization questionnaires (Flament, 1994/2001, 1996) and curve models (Vergès, 2001; Abric, 2003, 2007) it was observed that young people perceived the political leaders in predominantly "positive and ideal".

Keywords : Social representations; political crisis; activists; university education.
