This paper describes the causes of collective behavior, when individuals of the same species do or feel the same, that is, when there is emotional contagion. The intention is to support, from an evolutionary perspective, that emotional contagion and the synchronization from the states of consciousness are the main reasons that cause people to "become a crowd" according to Elias Canetti.
