Abstract

TORRES CRUZ, César. Identidad y vínculos erótico-afectivos serodiscordantes entre varones de la ciudad de México. Culturales [online]. 2014, vol.2, n.1, pp.125-160. ISSN 2448-539X.

The objectives of this paper are to describe and to analyze the changes involved in the sociocultural construction in 10 serodiscordant relationships (when an individual lives with HIV and his partner does not) among men who live in Mexico City. It is rescued the relation between the transformations in their social representations about HIV/AIDS, their sexual practices and the performativity of their identities or serodiscordant homoerotic experiences. To accomplish this goal, there were applied to the informants -which were recruited with the "snowball technique" - interviews in depth, to figure out in a retrospective way, how they have experienced those processes. The interviews were codified with Atlas.ti 5.0 software and analyzed under the grounded theory schema. Therefore, this text shows the complexities involved in both the appropriation of the abjection as well as in the configuration of their serodiscordant homoerotic experiences.

Keywords : serodiscordancy; queer studies; social representations; HIV/AIDS.
