Abstract

SILENZI, Marina. Art as a new way of thinking: Nietzsche's and Heidegger's conception. Andamios [online]. 2006, vol.2, n.4, pp.201-217. ISSN 2594-1917.

Art is the path that Nietzsche and Heidegger take to reach new values. Nietzsche thinks that art is more important than the truth as a way to show the life of the human being. This desperate search for the truth, which is an illusion, is a way to deny life itself. Nietzsche vindicates the role of the body. The artist works with his body, expressing his emotions in his paintings. He does not reject his Selbst but he works with it and from it. Heidegger thinks that art is a space where the opening of the being occurs, where the truth reveals becoming that other way to think, that which poeticizes.

Keywords : Nietzsche; Heidegger; art; body; truth.
