The objective of the work is to present the various formulas to express what is desirable, developed in the intellectual ecosystems of lac, during the first decades of the 21st century. From here it attempts an interpretation of Latin American thought of the first quarter of the 21st century, complementing, in this way, what is known about the previous centuries. To achieve the objective, what is desirable is reviewed at very different levels, considering trends such as eco-socialism, developmentalism, sumakausaysm, community feminism, self-helpism, post-humanism, calividism, indianism; taking into account macro-issues such as globalization and global warming.
