Supported by ethnographic and archives research this article explores two different ways of agrarian citizenship construction related with the land reform in the Isthmus of Veracruz. The article tells two histories about the agrarian reform and the Article 27 reform, analyzing the citizenship related with the land tenure in these historical moments. The conclusion is that the citizenship constructed around specific issues needs go beyond and must insert an enlarging process of citizenship.
