Oviedo Pastor, a young Honduran who moved to Mexico to study and work, soon got involved in anti-reelectionist struggle becoming a Maderista soldier. As Madero ascended to power, he belonged to the group of close officials and political operators who, after Madero's assassination, had to flee Mexico or join Francisco Villas' army among other leaderships. Oviedo Pastor continued relating to revolutionary leaders and governments and to some Mexican labor leaders until the 1940s. However, although he did not manage to definitively settle in Mexico, he wandered across Central American countries doing independent journalism for many decades.
