The purpose was to evaluate the social validity of the tic program TPACK (integral techno-pedagogical model for virtual environments), for the teaching of chemistry. It is quasiexperimental cross-sectional research, carried out in a public high school in the state of Mexico, 125 fourth-semester students participated. The assessment of social validity was developed for the objectives, procedure and results of the program. The social validity of the objectives was achieved through informed consent and through official letters for school authorities; A social validity survey and a formative assessment system were used to evaluate the procedure; For the social validity of the results, three academic tests were applied with pre- and post-test. The results showed that 90 % of the participants accepted the objectives of the research; the procedure of the program was positively evaluated, so that 76 % of the student’s indicated satisfaction with the program, additionally it was shown that the students improved their learning from one test to another (formative assessment). With respect to the assessment of the results of the program, it was identified that 95 % of the items showed statistically significant differences after the educational intervention. It is concluded that the TIC TPACK program demonstrates social validity, by identifying that the students expressed the acceptance of the objectives, procedure, demonstrating significant learning derived from the intervention program.
