Resumen
GONZALEZ-QUIROZ, Julia.
The mandate of scientific academic institutions links the training of new cadres of researchers with the dizzying progress of modern science. The main objective of the article is to describe some of the overlaps between institutional cultures of science, such as laboratories, secondment establishments, and the interactions between established researchers and their students in the task of scientific training.
The methodological approach is presented from a qualitative perspective based on the reconstruction of the trajectories of researchers from the Department of Cell Biology of the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico. The theoretical-conceptual reference of the study shows the stages of formation from a macro and micro perspective of science. The main results point to socialization processes that take place within laboratories in which there is an intergenerational exchange in key decades for the institutionalization of science. The research ideologies are delimited by training itineraries launched by current consolidated researchers in which a small number of students will undertake leadership positions in postgraduate laboratories after acquiring prolonged postdoctoral experience in international laboratories.
