Teaching computer applications programming is a complex task, be cause of the need to understand different concepts and elements of computer sciences, and also a programming language. There are dif ferent, approaches and methodologies to effectively teach the funda mentals of computer applications programming, but currently there is an approach known as physical computing, which combines physical components (electronic) with software components. This approach has obtained favorable results in the teaching of computer applica tions programming, and in other areas related to computer sciences. This research shows the results of implementing the physical com puting with the BBC Micro:Bit pocket-sized computer, and generating content with the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) model of instructional design, at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, in two concept proofs. Both proofs focused on teaching of the fundamentals of computer applications program ming through physical computing in a university context.
