Abstract
OJEDA SANCHEZ, Azucena.
A Participatory Action-Research (PAR) process is described with / for young people at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. The aim was to carry out a community intervention project to promote Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) among young university stu dents. Using participatory methodologies, a diagnosis of problems, needs and proposals was produced through photo-voice, workshops and focus groups with 145 young people. Subsequently, a program of friendly sexual and reproductive health services was designed that operated between 2017 and 2018 with consultancies, health conferences and workshops. The results indicate that there are cul tural obstacles, coupled with school dynamics, that constrain the care of SRH, since distrust prevails in traditional medical services, but a respectful, close, professional and peer approach favors self-care. Educational actions that are situated, focused, free of stigma and discrimination are required to realize the right to health.
