Resumen

CAMPOS SOBERANIS, Mario Alejandro; MENENDEZ DOMINGUEZ, Víctor Hugo  y  ZAPATA GONZALEZ, Alfredo. MITS: Intelligent Tutoring System to assist faculty in the use of MOODLE. Innov. educ. (Méx. DF) [online]. 2019, vol.19, n.81, pp.11-38.  Epub 21-Feb-2025. ISSN 1665-2673.

The use of intelligent systems in educational environments represents an opportunity to improve teaching and learning processes. This research proposes a working methodology and an architectural framework for the design, development and validation of an integrated Intelligent Tutoring system in the environment of a Learning Management System called MITS (MOODLE Intelligent Tutoring System), which is a conversational system designed to assist faculty in the development of their online courses. For this purpose, the architecture and implementation of the system is described, as well as the usability validation in an experiment applied to professors and technology administrators of the Autonomous University of Yucatan (Mexico). The results indicate that users found the system useful and easy to use and they believe that it can be an effective tool for the development of courses within the MOODLE system.
