GALLARDO CORDOVA, Katherina Edith; VALDES LOZANO, Dora Elvia y ALVAREZ CARDONA, Numar. Learning evaluation practices in relation to international standards: An exploratory study. Innov. educ. (Méx. DF) [online]. 2015, vol.15, n.68, pp.117-133. ISSN 1665-2673.
This study discusses the perception of Mexican instructors who work in different educational levels, in relation to learning evaluation practices analyzed in the context of international standards established by the Joint Committee on Standards for Educational Evaluation (JCSEE). The practices were classified by four established standards: ethics, utility, feasibility and precision. A total of 90 instructors from public and private institutions participated in this exploratory study. A survey with 29 questions was implemented. The results allow us to infer that even when the majority of evaluation practices adhere to the established standards, there are still certain areas of opportunity, especially with regards to ethics and precision, topics that would be convenient to continue investigating. Additionally, a series of questions is proposed that expands the horizon towards further studies in the discipline and some suggestions are made for future studies in this line of research.
