The aim of this article is twofold. Firstly, it seeks to pay tribute to the work of Desiderio Blanco through an examination of his reflections on theology and mysticism. Secondly, it explores the gap between speaking and saying, acknowledging that bodily forms of expression surpass verbal language. The most relevant finding lies in the semiotic formalization of denegation, which encompasses the transition from negative theology to mysticism, characterized as a radical praxis of silence and stillness. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing insights into the theopathic, emotional, and carnal dimension, which serves as the ab quo instance from which both the specifically theological dimension and the ad quem instances of the theopractic or ethical dimension unfold. Ultimately, after a brief analysis of a typical text, the problem of distinguishing between theopoetic narration and mystical experience emerges.
