The present document outlines the importance of research on the processes of organizational change in schools as an input to improve the implementation of educational policies. The study identifies the institutional processes of change and stability. A case study is presented regarding the implementation of the Quality Schools Program in a secondary school in Mexico City. The conclusions provide answers over the processes that allow putting into practice new educational policies.
