This article focuses on the analyses of various areas of educational research and its intersection with public policies regarding young people and adult (EPJA) education in the country. The potential impact of research in decision making and the development of educational policies in this field are examined. With the intention of pointing out some limitations an outline of the impact of research depending on the context and public policies is presented. Finally, several recommendations for improved impacts are discussed.
