The pandemic modifies Mexican hospital care, adding 42.5% of non-indigenous patients and 60.2% of indigenous patients infected by covid d 19. The risk of hospitalization for indigenous and non-indigenous patients is given by sociodemographic, health and residence characteristics at the beginning of the pandemic. Developing multinomial logistic models with data from May 22, 2020, it is obtained that in the risk of hospitalization without and with intubation there are common and specific variables, increasing for indigenous people if they reside in large cities due to migration as they are linked to the informality whose place of work is mainly the public space.
