Abstract

RIVAS NIETO, Pedro. Insurgence repressed: National security regimes against revolution. Espiral (Guadalaj.) [online]. 2010, vol.17, n.49, pp.105-128. ISSN 1665-0565.

In this article it is studied the idea of revolutionary war in the National Security Regimes as well as the armed answer they implemented against it. These regimes believed this kind of war was defined by skills of fight -more than a definite way of war-, by an only revolutionary model all over the world, and because it was the strategy of the international communism to conquer the world. The National Security Regimes attacked left-wing parties because they were supposed to put and end to Latin American democracies.

Keywords : National Security; War; Armed Forces; Revolution; Counter-revolution.
