BERMUDEZ-APONTE, José Javier; PEDRAZA ORTIZ, Alexandra e RINCON RIVERA, Clara Inés. Student's Perspectives on the Organizational Climate of Universities in Bogota. REDIE [online]. 2015, vol.17, n.3, pp.01-12. ISSN 1607-4041.
The main objective of this research was to characterize the organizational climate of six universities located in the city of Bogota, Capital District (D.C-abbreviation in Spanish), Colombia, based on students' perceptions. The qualitative descriptive methodology employed seeks to understand an overall picture of the phenomenon under analysis, the possibilities of analyzing its underlying phenomena and the meaning of the construction of the object of study. The findings were grouped into four categories: academic, socio-affective, administrative and ethical. The results showed that, based on students' perceptions, the organizational climate in the university is a set of tangible (infrastructure, resources, etc.) and intangible (values, interpersonal relations, situations, etc.) factors that are experienced on a daily basis. The dynamics of these factors are bidirectional, i.e., any one of them can either affect, or be affected by, another one.
