Abstract

HERNANDEZ GALVAN, Francisco. Three Ethnographic Axioms about the Affective Organization of Queer Shame. Desacatos [online]. 2021, n.66, pp.154-167.  Epub May 02, 2025. ISSN 2448-5144.

In this article I reflect on the affectation of shame and epistemologically discuss its operation from feminist and queer positions. I aim to reflect on the affectation of subjects’ bodies in the light of the circulation of shame and its relationship with the materialization of feminized bodies. To such ends I will discuss the way shame operates and the axioms that I suggest as an object of shame. In effect, it seems that shame becomes “sticky” and adapts to the body of the subjects and their practices.

Keywords : affection; shame; materialization; sexuality; body.
