This article explores the public testimonies of a group of people linked to the Argentine military who claim as political prisoners the members of the armed forces currently serving sentences for their responsibility in human rights violations during the dictatorship. They demand a complete memory, independent justice, and the recognition of all victims of Argentina’s conflictive past. To this end, we analyze 204 letters published in a widely circulated national newspaper. We identify the resources used in the production of these testimonies, as well as their authors’ sociographic characteristics, the issues addressed, and emblems instituted through the use of testimonial letters.
