Abstract

PENA AHUMADA, Nuria Beatriz  and  AGUILAR RASCON, Oscar Cuauhtémoc. Women leadership in MSE´s management: a systematic perspective of managerial processes in Latin America. La ventana [online]. 2026, vol.7, n.63, pp.160-193.  Epub Mar 20, 2026. ISSN 1405-9436.  https://doi.org/10.32870/lv.v7i63.8061.

This research, which is grounded in theory of systems, examined functional and dynamic interdependencies of processes (input, transformation and output) under the leadership of women directors in micro and small enterprises (MSE) in Latin America. A structural equation model (SEM) was developed to casually analyze how this leadership influences efficiency and adaptability of operational flows. Additionally, a conditional independence test was applied to validate the relationships between marginal distributions of the cause and the conditional distribution of effect. Findings reveal that female leadership is crucial when integrating and optimizing processes, with a considerably significant impact on the output phase. Specifically, this leadership impulses the consolidation of competitive sales by means of effective systematic management. The uniqueness of this research lies in the exhaustive analysis of fourteen key variables, providing a deeper understanding of how women manager’s leadership shapes and invigorates MSE’s entrepreneurial systems, offering valuable insight for sustainable growth in this region.

Keywords : micro and small enterprises; leadership of female directors; women managers; systems theory; process management.
