Cooperatives in Mexico are a fundamental part of economic activity, and the union between its members is vital to achieve goals and objectives as a group. However, contextualizing their core, is essential to understand the role of social cohesion. The objective of the study was to explain the importance of social ties, trust, shared values, and a sense of belonging as pillars of social cohesion through what members perceive in cooperatives. The methodology was qualitative and transversal. Among the results, shared values are the most important pillar in cooperatives.
