Abstract
CAMACHO SANDOVAL, Fernando and GUZMAN MARTINEZ, María. Aguascalientes divided? an average Mexican city and its evolution between 1990 and 2010. Econ. soc. territ [online]. 2023, vol.23, n.72, pp.571-600. Epub June 16, 2023. ISSN 2448-6183. https://doi.org/10.22136/est20231953.
This article shows the results of measuring one of the dimensions of socio-spatial segregation: agglomeration. The spatial distribution of six socioeconomic strata in 1990, 2000 and 2010 was analyzed. The Moran Global Autocorrelation index (IGM) for the city and the Moran Local Autocorrelation index (LISA) were used for the intra-urban grouping of the strata at the urban block and Basic Geostatistical Area (AGEB) levels. Our study was based on the hypothesis that the large-scale grouping of the upper and lower strata is a new social and urban trend in the city.
Keywords : Aguascalientes city; segregation-agglomeration; stratification; spatial autocorrelation.
