Given the problem presented in the ejido of Santa Ana Xochuca of the Mexican Subtropics, a spatio-temporal analysis of the interactions that influence the processes of land use change and its association with irrigation agriculture in 2006 and 2016 was performed; since in this community, in 2006 there were thirteen water storages and by 2016 they increased to 22, factor that causes changes in land use, increased agrodiversity, conversion of agriculture and increased food production. The research is based on environmental geography, cultural ecology, fieldwork techniques and remote sensing in satellite images
