This article analyzes the urban appropriation of Aymara migrants, residents in two neighborhoods of the city of El Alto, El Porvenir I (periphery) and July 16th (center), and their relationship with labor and urban dynamics. In the suburb appear the rururban territories where migrants maintain a thread of continuity with their communities. To carry out this study, semi-structured in-depth interviews to migrant residents and a survey applied to members of 100 households were conducted. Also, non-participant observation of the activities of daily life was used.
