BEDOYA-RANGEL, Yuliet  e  LOZANO-ASCENCIO, Fernando. Gender inequalities in the labor market integration of returned migrant population from the United States in mexico, 2020. Pap. poblac [online]. 2023, vol.29, n.118, pp.155-175.  Epub 04-Fev-2025. ISSN 2448-7147.  https://doi.org/10.22185/24487147.2023.118.31.

The article examines the labor market integration of migrant women returning from the United States to Mexico, utilizing data from the 2020 Population and Housing Census by INEGI. A binomial logistic model was employed to determine the probability of being self-employed compared to being employed, with controls for sociodemographic characteristics, household traits, and contextual elements. Key findings include: returned women exhibit a greater inclination towards self-employment, facing financial and occupational segregation challenges; household conditions and region of residence influence labor insertion, reflecting inequalities in the distribution of unpaid work; education emerges as a crucial factor in improving labor conditions for returnees in certain regions.

Palavras-chave : Return migration; Gender inequality; Labor incorporation.
