The association of chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity with the risk of contagion and/or morbidity of the Covid-19 disease in the multicultural cities of Oaxaca is analyzed. The contagion and death relationship was analyzed, in association with people who suffered from a chronic disease from March 2020 to May 2021, through the statistical technique of linear regression in order to obtain the association existing in the time analyzed. The results indicate that hypertension stands out as a comorbidity for the contagion and death of the population by Covid-19, combined with the urbanization process that promotes a sedentary lifestyle, car use, breathing polluted air and toxic eating habits, but which also highlighted the organization and solidarity systems of multicultural cities, which made it possible to limit the impact of the pandemic on them.
