The objective of this article is to construct an approach to the relationship between extradomestic female work and fertility. The empirical study was carried out in the metropolitan area of Toluca, capital city of State of Mexico. The research is based on qualitative methods. Interest centers on understanding the significance that women endow to aspects of work and fertility.
