LOPEZ AVILA, Carmen Rosa; POSADA SILVA, Wadis Yovany y FRANCO JIMENEZ, Alejandra María. Research Workshops and Research Training in a Public University in Colombia. RMIE [online]. 2025, vol.30, n.105, pp.575-598. Epub 30-Mayo-2025. ISSN 1405-6666.
The purpose of this work is to understand how research training processes develop within the research groups at the University of Caldas from the perspective of the social actors involved. The approach is interpretative and based on complementarity. The analysis methodology included interviews, focus groups, and content and categorical analysis. The participating actors were an institutional coordinator, 38 coordinating teachers and 38 students who were part of the research groups. The results identified four categories: a) constitution of the research groups, b) work dynamics, c) weaknesses/opportunities/strengths and threats matrix, and d) instructional research. The conclusions show that this strategy encourages, among other aspects, reflection, critical thinking and collaborative work, which leads to an integral research training.
