SOLARTE ECHEVERRI, María Claudia; HUERTA BARRIENTOS, Aida; OSORIO MARULANDA, Carlos Augusto y ZUNIGA ESCOBAR, Orlando. Validating an Environmental Education Model Based on Complexity. RMIE [online]. 2025, vol.30, n.105, pp.551-574. Epub 30-Mayo-2025. ISSN 1405-6666.
This article introduces the validation of an environmental education model based on complexity theory, whose purpose is to contribute to overcome a reduced and fragmented vision of the environment in teaching practices. The model was implemented during a course and validated by means of the fuzzy logic methodology. The process initiated with the design of an instrument consisting of questions that could evaluate any course with an environmental education component and inquired about the competencies and skills acquired by the students, as well as about some contents related to the dynamics of the environment. The results of the validation showed substantial differences with respect to two other courses with which they were compared, and also allowed to analyze the problems and achievements of the students throughout the teaching-learning process.
