Abstract

This paper offers an analysis of the policies on higher education in the six-year term 2018-2024, self-denominated as the Fourth Transformation, and outlines an agenda of possible reforms to be developed in the 2024-2030 government of Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum. During the period, the approval of the General Law of Higher Education stands out, but non-compliance with the goals and objectives defined therein is observed; the lack of public policies in a formal sense and the dismantling of the policy instruments developed during 30 years are also highlighted.
