RAZO, Ana. Forgetting the questions that matter: the consistency of the educational proposal for upper secondary education. RMIE [online]. 2024, vol.29, n.103, pp.1021-1039. Epub 24-Feb-2025. ISSN 1405-6666.
This article evaluates the consistency of the educational proposal for upper secondary education presented by the 2018-2024 federal administration. By analyzing eight key documents issued by the Under Secretary of Upper Secondary Education, it examines the convergence of educational purposes, curricular content, and teachers' training. The analysis reveals the lack of specific diagnoses -the same failure that is attributed to previous policies- and the inaccurate definitions of the problems that motivate this reform. The educational proposal involves an insubstantial and complex curricular modification that could potentially overburden teachers. Furthermore, the strategies and mechanisms for teachers' training are not well identified in the key documents of the proposal, jeopardizing the educational experience and limiting the implementation of any educational change.
