Resumen

The objective of this article is to identify the regression model derived from the evaluation of teachers' performance and to determine its impact as a predictor of the academic achievement of medical school students. A descriptive, predictive, transversal study of teacher evaluations was carried out through OPINEST2011, with reliability of .99, explained variance of 70.8%, an adjustment in AFC of NFI of .92 and RMSA of .064. A compilation was made of 2,091 applied records that were analyzed through multiple regression in terms of students' final achievement; a model was obtained, represented by Z'y=.107Zx1+.143Zx2+.183Zx3+.058Zx4+.084Zx5+.098Zx6 which predicts 41% of this achievement. The dimensions of greatest weight in the model are the psycho-pedagogical factor and that of communication and evaluation. The conclusion is that OPINEST2011 presents solid development that compiles sufficient evidence of validity to evaluate the performance by competency of medical school professors; its potential as a predictor of student achievement is identified.
