Abstract
STEINMANN, Andrea; BOSCH, Beatriz and AIASSA, Delia. Student Motivation and Expectations for Learning Science at the University Level: An Exploratory Study. RMIE [online]. 2013, vol.18, n.57, pp.585-598. ISSN 1405-6666.
The research objectives described in this article were to study the motivation, expected attitudes toward learning, and the methodology of science teaching among university and secondary school students in the city of Río Cuarto, Argentina. To determine if secondary school students' responses varied in relation to the type of educational organization, both private and public institutions were selected. The participants were from three populations. The research was of an exploratory descriptive nature, and a survey was administered to both university and secondary students. Since motivation is believed to constitute a conditioning factor for learning, further study of the concept is important.
