The new labor environment is characterized by the insecurity of the workforce; a problem that particularly affects young people. Under this preamble, the objective of the paper is to analyze the working conditions of the working population in the city of Toluca from a gender perspective. Precisely, this is to estimate different levels of insecurity as older age groups, as well as men and women between 14 and 29 years of age. This was accomplished by estimating the rate of job insecurity on data from the National Survey of Occupation and Employment (ENOE) of the first quarter of 2005 and the first quarter of 2010.
