AFANADOR LLACH, María José. Trajectories of Curricular Production in Digital History in Latin America, 2002-2024. Hist. graf [online]. 2025, n.64, pp.55-96. Epub 25-Fev-2025. ISSN 1405-0927. https://doi.org/10.48102/hyg.vi64.542.
The article examines the development of digital history in Latin American academic programs from the early 2000s to the present day. It identifies the first proposals for individual courses on digital history, as well as the emergence of institutional initiatives for its inclusion at various educational levels. Through interviews and the analysis of course programs, it presents an overview of the trajectories of researchers and teachers, as well as institutional proposals for the integration of digital history into history curricula, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The article highlights the diversity of approaches adopted in curricular programs, ranging from conceptual and methodological debates to the practical application of digital tools. There is an emphasis on historical dissemination in digital environments and the integration of practical activities in the classroom for the learning of specific tools. However, it is noted that the incorporation of digital history into curricula has been a fragmentary and slow process showing that the field is still peripheral in the teaching of the historical discipline.
