Graduate studies in chemistry at Instituto Tecnológico de Tijuana launched twenty four years ago with a Master of Sciences program in Chemistry. Then, the PhD program started during the early nineties. Both programs are included in the Padrón de Posgrados de Excelencia of Conacyt. Students from all over the country are admitted to these programs, most of them being granted with scholarships for graduate studies by Conacyt. Several research projects of diverse areas of chemistry are under development, and the results are published in domestic and international journals. The faculty and research personnel have been gradually growing, with young Mexican scientists.
