Illegal Mexican territories and regional violence in Michoacán. The article reflects on the existence of illegal territories, considered as a socio-economic order, where the drug business has set up a chain of violence involving different actors (traffickers, residents, businessmen and authorities) by high benefits of expansion of illegal business. This is illustrated by some events that occurred in Tierra Caliente, Michoacán, which influenced the shaping of their illegal territories, where there is a vacuum of state power attributed to an absence of the Mexican State, but played by the social representation that He attributed his absence the lack of public security for the inhabitants. However, that interpretation is wrong because it has not considered in its analysis the presence of a rural social order, articulated to the transnationalization of production and consumption of drugs with the participation of political power.
