Explanation of the concept of violence and its implications in education. About the concept of violence, it is proposed in the present text, collect some disciplines of social sciences, the approach to certain characteristics of that term, which will help to differentiate the meaning or sense of it, both in the social field as educational spaces in particular, through its manifestation and contemporary approach in different social spheres that coexist with violence in their daily lives. The article ends with some questions that may be suggestive for some routes of inquiry about the approach to the concept of violence in key educational research, beyond the concern marked by the so-called "Bullying" or bullying as the only way of thinking the violence in education.
