The literature on digital work platforms has highlighted the trend towards the precarisation of labour relations. In contrast to this hypothesis, through the analysis of the operation of the digital platform Zolvers, this article aims to understand how platforms can also contribute to the formalisation of labour relations in the paid domestic work sector, where the majority of women workers work informally. The article explores the effects of this intermediation on the formalisation of the employment relationship. In particular, it focuses on the impact during the first year of the covid-19 pandemic.
