Abstract

This article studies the recent and spectacular immigratory phenomenon that Spain is living, with a massive arrival of foreigners that is turning to this state in one of which have a greater proportion of immigrants with respect to the total of his population within the European Union. Most of those arrivals are of people coming from Ibero-America. The study is centered in this group, and more concretely in its labor characteristics: spatial distribution of the Latin American workers by the Spanish territory, differentiation by sexes, characteristics of its contracts and how it affects unemployment to them.
