This document approaches the domestic space as a field of interdisciplinary study and confronts concepts provided by sociological and anthropological literature inside homes, with the result of a qualitative study on such interior in Benito Juarez district, in Mexico City. This paper aims to bind together the daily domestic experience and the new forms of creation of sense of place when building-up a home within an urban-economic context that has experienced not very different transformations (densification and gentrification) from the ones observed in other cities around the world.
