Resumen
RODRIGUEZ-HERNANDEZ, Gabriela; RODRIGUEZ CRUZ, Olga y JUAREZ LUGO, Carlos Saúl. Effect of online social support on subjective well-being. Acta univ [online]. 2025, vol.35, e4137. Epub 26-Ene-2026. ISSN 2007-9621. https://doi.org/10.15174/au.2025.4137.
Online social support occurs through interaction in sociodigital networks. The aim of this study was to design and evaluate an explanatory model of the effect of e-support on subjective well-being in Mexican population. A non-experimental, cross-sectional study was carried out using data from a national survey on subjective well-being, which is used to learn about people's well-being and social progress under the guidelines issued by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Based on a correlation and multiple regression analysis, a path analysis was carried out to evaluate the proposed theoretical model, which adjusted satisfactorily, although it explained a low proportion of the variance of subjective well-being.
